Looking for a Kajabi alternative sounds simple. It is not. Kajabi is simultaneously a course platform, website, email system, funnel builder, checkout, community platform and automation tool. A product that beats it at one of those jobs can still be a poor replacement for the whole stack.

So we used a different test: what part of Kajabi are you actually trying to replace? That produces a more useful shortlist than ranking six unrelated products from one to six.

We did not hands-on test these products for this article. Current product facts and prices come from first-party sources checked September 10, 2026. Recommendations are editorial judgments based on those verified facts.

First, decide what you want to replace

Kajabi Basic currently costs $179 per month on monthly billing, or $143 per month when billed annually. It includes five products, 2,500 contacts, one website, one community and two admin users. Kajabi also lists unlimited landing pages, funnels and marketing emails, checkout and payment integrations, and no revenue sharing.

That baseline matters. If you use all of it, a specialist course platform plus separate email, funnel and community subscriptions can erase the savings you expected. If you use only courses and checkout, the opposite can be true.

Before switching, mark the parts you genuinely use: course delivery; community; website; landing pages and funnels; email; automation; checkout; subscriptions/payment plans; affiliates; admin seats; and contact capacity. Then compare only the products that replace those jobs.

1. Systeme.io — best lower-cost all-in-one alternative

Systeme.io is the most obvious candidate when your complaint is not that Kajabi lacks a particular feature, but that the all-in-one subscription costs too much for your current stage.

Its primary pricing page currently lists Free at $0, Startup at $17/month, Webinar at $47/month and Unlimited at $97/month. The platform combines funnels, email marketing, websites, automation, courses, communities, affiliate management, booking and pipelines.

The striking number is not $17 versus $179. That comparison is too easy and often misleading. Kajabi Basic includes 2,500 contacts; Systeme.io Startup allows 5,000, while its Free plan allows 2,000. Limits for products, funnels and automation rules also differ. The useful comparison is whether the Systeme.io tier that fits your workflow still replaces enough separate Kajabi functions to make migration worthwhile.

Choose it if: you want to keep an integrated marketing-and-course stack while materially lowering fixed software cost.

Skip it if: the reason you chose Kajabi was specifically its course/knowledge-business environment rather than consolidation.

2. SamCart — best if checkout is the part that matters

SamCart is a good example of why “Kajabi alternative” should not mean “Kajabi clone.” Its strongest case is commerce: product pages, checkout and course delivery rather than rebuilding every part of an all-in-one creator business.

Core costs $79/month and includes unlimited pages, products and checkouts, the Courses App, cart abandonment and integrations. Pro costs $199/month and adds one-click upsells and order bumps, A/B testing, Subscription Saver, Affiliate Center, advanced analytics, API access and third-party processors.

That creates an important pricing trap. If upsells, order bumps or affiliate management are essential to the workflow you are replacing, the relevant SamCart comparison is Pro at $199, not Core at $79. At that point SamCart is not a “cheap Kajabi” story; it is a specialist-commerce decision.

Choose it if: selling and optimizing offers matters more than having your website, community and email system in the same application.

Skip it if: you want one subscription to recreate Kajabi's broader stack.

3. Circle — best for a community-first business

If your customers buy partly because they want access to each other—not just access to lessons—Circle deserves a different kind of comparison.

Circle Professional is $89/month and includes unlimited members, courses, discussions, events, a website builder, live streams and rooms, paid memberships, gamification and a custom domain. Business is $199/month and adds workflows, APIs, custom profile fields and deeper customization.

That makes Circle a credible replacement for the course + community + membership portion of Kajabi. It does not automatically replace Kajabi's broader email/funnel/marketing stack. Treating the two as feature-for-feature substitutes would hide the main decision.

Choose it if: community engagement, events and member interaction are central to the product.

Skip it if: your primary problem is funnels, email marketing or stack consolidation.

4. Thinkific — best when the course itself is the product

Thinkific is the course-first candidate in this group. It is also where stale comparison articles can mislead you: Thinkific raised prices effective August 13, 2026.

Current monthly pricing is $54 for Basic, $109 for Start and $219 for Grow. Annual Basic is $475/year, equivalent to about $40/month; Start is $978/year (about $82/month); Grow is $1,968/year (about $164/month).

The reason to choose Thinkific is not simply that $54 is below $179. It is that your buying decision starts with course creation, learner delivery and education features, while marketing can live elsewhere if necessary.

Choose it if: the learning product is the center of the business and you are comfortable assembling some marketing functions separately.

Skip it if: your main reason for using Kajabi is eliminating a multi-tool stack.

5. Teachable — best for course commerce without buying a full marketing suite

Teachable's current plans make the economics unusually visible. Starter costs $39/month and carries a 7.5% platform transaction fee. Builder costs $89/month and removes Teachable's base transaction fee; Growth costs $189/month and also has a 0% base transaction fee. Payment-processing and other commerce fees can still apply.

Starter therefore deserves the same warning as other low entry prices. At $2,000 in monthly sales, a 7.5% platform fee is $150 before payment processing and the subscription. That does not automatically make Starter bad—it means the correct plan depends on revenue, not just features.

Teachable includes course-focused sales features such as upsells and cart recovery across the current plans, while Builder adds affiliate functionality. It is a strong option when courses and their commerce layer matter more than recreating Kajabi's email/funnel stack.

Choose it if: you want a course-selling platform and can choose a tier whose fee structure fits your revenue.

Skip it if: you expect it to replace a full marketing stack without additional tools.

6. Podia — best for a simpler creator-product mix

Podia sits between a pure course platform and a broader creator storefront. Every current plan includes community, online courses, digital downloads and coaching.

On annual billing, Mover is currently $42/month ($504/year), Shaker $84/month ($1,008/year), and Earthquaker $150/month ($1,800/year). Mover charges a 5% Podia transaction fee; Shaker and Earthquaker do not. Shaker also adds affiliate marketing, upsells, PayPal and Zapier.

Again, the lowest subscription is not necessarily the cheapest operating point. At $2,000 of monthly sales, a 5% Mover platform fee equals $100 before payment processing and subscription cost. If you need affiliates and upsells anyway, Shaker is the more relevant comparison.

Choose it if: you sell a mix of courses, downloads, coaching or community access and want a simpler creator platform.

Skip it if: sophisticated marketing automation is the reason you are shopping for an all-in-one.

Full replacements vs specialist replacements

This distinction is the heart of the comparison. Systeme.io is the closest candidate here to the “replace many Kajabi jobs with one subscription” strategy. SamCart, Circle, Thinkific and Teachable make more sense when you deliberately unbundle Kajabi and buy a stronger or more focused component. Podia sits between those approaches.

Neither strategy is inherently better. A one-tool stack can be cheaper and easier to manage. A specialist stack can be better aligned with the part of the customer experience that creates revenue. The mistake is comparing one subscription price without counting the tools you will need around it.

When Kajabi is still the rational choice

Kajabi can look expensive beside a $17, $39 or $54 entry plan. But if your business actively uses website, funnels, unlimited marketing emails, automation, checkout, courses and community, replacing it with several point tools can turn a “cheaper” migration into another stack of subscriptions and integrations.

There is also migration cost: products, videos, customer access, email lists, domains, checkout, automations and analytics all have to survive the move. If Kajabi already supports the workflow and the monthly bill is not the bottleneck, staying put can be the financially sensible choice.

How we would choose

  • Want Kajabi's all-in-one idea for less? Start with Systeme.io.
  • Checkout and offer optimization are the priority? Compare SamCart Pro against the exact selling features you use.
  • Community is the product? Start with Circle.
  • Course delivery comes first? Compare Thinkific and Teachable.
  • Want a simpler mix of courses, downloads and community? Look at Podia.
  • Already use most of Kajabi's stack? Price the replacement stack before migrating.

FAQ

What is the cheapest Kajabi alternative here?

Systeme.io has a free tier and paid plans starting at $17/month. But cheapest entry price is not the same as cheapest equivalent setup; compare limits and the additional tools your workflow requires.

Which Kajabi alternative is best for courses?

Thinkific and Teachable are the clearest course-first candidates in this shortlist. Kajabi may still make more sense when courses need to live inside a broader marketing stack.

Which is best for community?

Circle is the community-first option here. Professional includes unlimited members, courses, events, live features and paid memberships at $89/month.

Can SamCart replace Kajabi?

It can replace important commerce and course-delivery functions, but it should not be treated as a complete one-for-one replacement for Kajabi's website, email, funnels and community stack.

Should I leave Kajabi just because it costs $179 per month?

No. First calculate the cost of the tools needed to replace the Kajabi functions you actually use, then add migration effort and transaction or usage fees. The lower sticker price does not always produce the lower total cost.

Verdict

There is no honest single “best Kajabi alternative” because these products solve different versions of the problem. Systeme.io is our first comparison for a cost-sensitive business that still wants an all-in-one approach. Thinkific and Teachable are more logical when the course itself is the center. Circle is stronger when community is the product. SamCart makes sense when checkout and offer optimization matter most. Podia is appealing when you want a simpler creator-product stack.

The best switch is the one that removes the part of Kajabi you do not need without accidentally forcing you to rebuild the parts you do.
